Precision Street Rods & Machines

Master car builder Warren Boughn founded Precision Street Rods & Machines in 1982 in Northridge, CA. after a very successful seven-year position as shop foreman for the original Magoo’s Street Rod Shop in Canoga Park, CA. While at Magoos, Warren was instrumental in both building and overseeing many of Magoo’s “Heyday” award winning street rods such as Brian Burnette’s Ferrari-powered ‘32 Ford roadster that won the “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster Award”.

Under Warren’s leadership, Precision Street Rods & Machines continues the tradition of building safe and well executed award winning show cars, street-driven rods, customs, classic and sport trucks, street machines, classic and muscle car restorations, resto-mods, pro-touring, pro-street and race cars. In 1985, Warren worked extensively on a monthly basis with Rod & Custom Magazine writing excellent technical articles and how-to stories until its change to a Customs and Rat Rod format in 2001, which is not in the purview of the shop. At this time, Warren started writing monthly and bi-monthly (depending on which magazine he was writing for) articles for the Buckaroo Publishing Group. This lasted for the next 5-years. All of this was done while running his Hot Rod Shop full time.

In 2018, Warren helped pick the 10 Mattel Hot Wheels postage stamps for the U.S. Postal Service. These stamps were to celebrate Mattel's 50th anniversary of the Hot Wheels program. The stamps came out in mid September of the same year to the public.
